Um, except that the idea is that the race is far longer than the range of the electric assistance. Try doing a marathon on a Segway. The battery will run out and then you get to carry it the rest of the way…?
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Thank you!
Looking to the future, Palermo emphasizes TSC’s need for engineers in all disciplines — “design engineers, stress analysts, composites specialists, and more” — for its fully integrated, design-through-manufacturing-and-testing production cycle. “New engineers go through the same composites training that our new technicians take, so that they have similar exposure as the technicians and they understand the processes they are going to be designing for,” he says.
Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
If you’re looking for a nightcap in Livermore, there’s only one place to go: The Last Word (2470 First St.). When The Last Word opened in 2014 slinging speakeasy-style cocktails (ask for a lemon drop at your own risk), no one expected a bar in sleepy Livermore to garner national attention. Now, owners Rick and Theresa Dobbs are bucking expectations yet again by transforming their popular downtown hang into a new bar every six months, kicking off with the Cuban-inspired Revolucion at the Last Word this past August. Theresa transformed the interior and menu to give the gastropub a California-meets-Cuba feel, and Rick tackled the drinks menu, bringing a rum focus to the carefully crafted creations. The transportive atmosphere and libations go down especially smooth knowing it’s one of the few places you can grab a cocktail worth drinking until midnight on weekdays, and till 1am on Friday and Saturday.
The waterjet maker also offers its waterjet system as part of what it calls Built for Business Integrated Cutting Solutions. Dumas said Hypertherm’s ProNest nesting software, a computer numeric controller and HyPrecision waterjet “work together to automatically apply the right cutting parameters and adjust things like the feed rate, abrasive flow rate, pump pressure and more.”
They also block embers from a dying fire from sparking into the room when you aren’t around to monitor it.
Laser cutter programmer Mark Jolly likes the useful scrap cut-down feature in BySoft that cuts big areas of waste material inside a component into several smaller pieces. It avoids the risk of a large piece of scrap distorting upwards, which could damage the laser nozzle traveling 1mm above the sheet. He also appreciates the engraving function that can be called up at the control by backing off the power output from 4kW to 600W.
Electric-powered press brakes have been more widely available in recent years as fabricators have looked for more energy-efficient, quicker, and more precise bending machines. One of the forerunners in this equipment segment, SafanDarley, presented its new take on the technology for the first time at EuroBlech.
Hatch, the shop foreman at Youngstown Mirror & Glass Co. in Austintown, is a master freehand-glass cutter, and it’s important that the plate be cut to the precise measurements the customer desires.
“I interned at Marie Claire and would get a lot of sly comments. There was a lot of under-the-surface racism. One day another black intern went to get lunch for senior staff. An assistant came by and screamed and cursed at me because the lunch order was wrong, that is, until she realized that it was the other black girl who messed up the lunch order. The behavior and patterns never changed, but I couldn’t say anything because I don’t have the option to fuck up.”—Anonymous
Metallics and chrome are big colors this season as seen in holographic makeup, clothes and accessories and make our list of makeup trends for Christmas. Although metallic lips have been a big trend this summer, they’re in to finish off the year with them too. Metallic lipsticks, such as Kylie’s Metallic Lipsticks and ColorPop’s Ultra Metallic Lips, make it easy to add that trend your holiday style. But if you don’t have metallic lipstick in your makeup bag, you can just as easily apply a red lip and gently dab gold eye shadow ontop. Concentrate on the center of your lips patting the excess highlighter all over to give your lips a copper-red metallic color.
