In the event of a release of hazardous, toxic, or lethal gas or material into the atmosphere, accurate measurement and modeling of air movement patterns can be invaluable to plant personnel, first responders, local officials, as well as individuals in the surrounding area.
There are only maybe 3-5 items that I would absolutely learn whatever electronics needed to make. At the top of that list is a micro induction furnace capable of melting precious metals, or even exotic ones. I do a lot of prototype work on small parts that I’d like to be able to cast first with no torches, in exotic metals.
I wonder if one or two MOT rewound to 40 – 48V secondary would be suitable for a power supply. Rectified, smoothed etc…
Granite City Wilson Park is the largest park in the district. With more than 74 acres, Wilson Park hosts a wide variety of recreational activities. Over 1,000 native and rare trees accent the parks many amenities. The park also features one of the largest handicap accessible playgrounds in the Midwest. The Wilson Park Pool is enjoyed by thousands every year. In addition, an ice rink hosts various ice sports in season as well. Visit granitecity.illinois.gov for more information.
Probably worth mentioning that some fireplaces are absolutely designed to run with their doors closed and sealed. The reburners/secondary combustion burners/fire box type fireplaces you commonly find all over the place are totally designed to run with their doors shut. Airflow around the box is tightly controlled and allows you to throttle the burn rate. They all (as far as I’m aware) have borosilicate glass though. ‘Open’ fireplaces definitely want their doors open. Tempered glass will definitely go bang if it gets too hot. They’re also typically less efficient than fireboxes – and harder to get permits for (don’t think you can in NZ urban areas anymore). If you have a fireplace and aren’t sure – read the manual. Fireboxes with open doors can get pretty exciting pretty quick if you let them
Interesting use of space, i thought about doing this, but my issue is that you have to move or store all of the stuff outside when your are sleeping inside. When i went to Iceland, we slept for a week in a ford transit connect modified by Happy Campers, tight, but doable, we packed very lightly and ended up moving the suitcases between the back and the front seats. I think personally i would rather get a small camper, which is the plan, Scamp 13.
But don’t just take our word for it. Let these East Bay towns show you for themselves in our various guides below, where you can also dig deeper into Oakland’s many buzzy neighborhoods. This is by no means the completest, most end-all-be-all guide to the East Bay, but rather a still-exhaustive look at some of the East Bay’s best offerings, written largely by East Bay denizens.
“As a creative, I don’t wanna be put in a box. If I wanna do something today, I’ll do it today. If I’m gonna do something tomorrow, that’s what I’m gonna do tomorrow. Don’t just look at my color and automatically assume you know what I’m gonna do. My inspiration comes from everything.”—Maxwell Osborne, designer
Many solar regulators have three connection. One for the battery, one for the solar panel and one for the load and you can program in the low battery voltage cutout to protect the battery and because they are designed for deep cycle batteries they have a reasonable low battery voltage cutout. My regulator doesn’t have a load connection so the inverter is connected to the battery and the inverter low voltage cutout is about 10 Volts which is far to low for a deep cycle battery. I will have to make a separate cutout relay for the inverter.
Out of all the designs this one is the easiest to beginner build, it involves more parts but is safer in my opinion:http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/general-electronics/royer-induction-heater/
I wouldn’t say that was obsessive, the first two points would lead to a much better build with a longer lifetime. Nowt wrong with wanting to build something more effectively.
