Both the BySort and the ByTrans Cross are controlled using the laser cutting system’s touch screen. To achieve this, Bystronic developed the ByVision Cutting user interface, which is already being used with the latest generation of Bystronic’s fiber lasers. ByVision Cutting integrates all the cutting processes and the connected automation solutions. During everyday production this allows laser cutting and the automated material feeding and removal process to be closely interlinked. Nowadays, no user should waste time, walk long distances, and carry out unnecessary procedures, just because the laser cutting system and the connected automation solution have to be operated using separate terminals. After all, for the operator, automation also means convenience.
[Peter] is currently working on a new version of his pocket-sized science tricorder, and he figured visualizing magnetic fields would be cool. This led to what can only be described as a camera for magnetism instead of light. It’s a device that senses magnetic fields in two directions to produce an image. It’s cool, and oddly, electronically simple at the same time.
Bystronic Laser AG/First Cut study tour I was the guest of Bystronic Laser AG and its sole South African distributor First Cut when First Cut employees and 11 clients took part in the 2015 Competence Day programme at the beginning of June 2015, before visiting three of Bystronic’s clients in Switzerland to view the company’s equipment in a ‘live’ situation.
cutting boards and more—at Oakland Supply (427 Water St.). // Score a killer antique at Something to Sell About (380 4th St), a hidden gem for estate shopping. // Narrative (560 2nd St.) stocks vintage treasures, from midcentury furniture to artsy decor. // And, stick with us here, it may be one of the best places to try your hand at the motorized scooters slowly invading the Bay Area, with an abundance of the suckers available and plenty of car-free space to get your bearings (and only semi-judgmental glares from pedestrians).
It wouldn’t be a visit to Livermore without wine tasting, and you’ll find it easy to tailor your sipping experience to your preferences—but you can’t miss the two biggies. For petit sirah, you can’t beat Livermore stalwart Concannon Vineyard (4590 Tesla Rd.), credited with first bottling this grape in the 1960s, although the winery’s influence on cabernet looms just as large—80 percent of all California cabernet sauvignon can be traced back to Concannon clones imported from Bordeaux in 1883. The winery also hosts frequent "somminar" wine education events, if you’re into learning more than just history. // Wente Vineyards (5565 Tesla Rd.) serves as a one-stop shop for an ideal outing in Livermore wine country. The grown-onsite vegetables and wine-raised cows feature heavily into The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, best experienced as part of the three-course wine and dinner experience at The Vineyard Table. In terms of wine tasting, sip within estate walls; embark on a behind-the-scenes walking and driving tour of the vineyards for an insider’s look at harvest; or learn the art of wine pairing, identifying aromas, or blending your own wines at Wente’s Winemakers Studio. The winery’s summer concert series draws some of music’s biggest names year after year—grab a bottle of Riva Ranch Chardonnay and prepare to rock out.
I have a big roll of mylar that I want to adhere to thin foam to make custom side window covers, though haven’t yet and since I found the front and back on the market that is similar to what I was thinking… I wound up buying a custom front sunshade from on eBay ( https://www.ebay.com/usr/frank-motors ) and for the rear on Amazon that is a custom Autoheatshield by Protrim Inc ( https://smile.amazon.com/s?marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&me=A1QT5T3AEM15JY&merchant=A1QT5T3AEM15JY&redirect=true )
Telstra expects the new strategy to deliver an additional $1 billion boost to its productivity program, to $2.5 billion by FY22.
“The CoverGirl contract was an amazing highlight of my career. But my agents had to fight tooth and nail to get me standard cosmetic-contract provisions. In those days, makeup companies put a lot of pressure on magazines. Why do you think Cindy Crawford was on so many covers during that time? Because Revlon made sure she was.”—Lana Ogilvie, model
Jet Edge programs include “free scheduled training to our end-users at our Minnesota headquarters,” they said. “The course has standard content for service optimization, but also carves out time for specific training on the attendee’s equipment configuration and operating methods.”
The machine is equally capable of handling much thicker material. The company often processes 12mm-thick aluminum tooling plate to produce fixtures for other machines on the shop floor.
I once had a “ghetto blaster” type cassette radio recorder, which needed 8 D-cells. For the same price as this 8 D cells I got a 7Ah SLA battery. I t is true, that this primary cells have about double the Ah capacity, but after 2 charge cycles they were equal. And assuming that energy use during manufacturing is somehow related to manufacturing cost and thus retail price, I do not really believe that bad energy ratio you cite. The lead was no issue, it stayed happily in the battery until it’s EOL and recycling. Not so the acid, Some drops somehow found a way out and damaged a pair of jeans and a chair. LiFePo is really very nice and has 1000s of recharge cycles and it’s voltage also fits nicely to 6V or 12V lead acid applications ( 7,2V or 14,4V end of charge voltage). The mean voltage is about 10% higher, above 13V for most of the time. This increases power efficiency with ordinary PWM solar charge controllers.
“As a brand, we needed something that could reflect that,” its CMO, James Goodwin, tells CMO. “Direct Money made a lot of sense during the P2P period, but we needed a brand that could speak more broadly to the other ambitions we had around products and services that go beyond just personal loans.”
