On the other hand i have seen a video of heating things up by placing them in a microwave in a shaped graphite block. I wonder what temperatures would this yield.
If you’re looking for a nightcap in Livermore, there’s only one place to go: The Last Word (2470 First St.). When The Last Word opened in 2014 slinging speakeasy-style cocktails (ask for a lemon drop at your own risk), no one expected a bar in sleepy Livermore to garner national attention. Now, owners Rick and Theresa Dobbs are bucking expectations yet again by transforming their popular downtown hang into a new bar every six months, kicking off with the Cuban-inspired Revolucion at the Last Word this past August. Theresa transformed the interior and menu to give the gastropub a California-meets-Cuba feel, and Rick tackled the drinks menu, bringing a rum focus to the carefully crafted creations. The transportive atmosphere and libations go down especially smooth knowing it’s one of the few places you can grab a cocktail worth drinking until midnight on weekdays, and till 1am on Friday and Saturday.
Fiber laser technology is and will remain an important topic for sheet metal workers. Bystronic fiber laser cutting systems provide outstanding cutting results, not just with thin sheets but also medium sheet thicknesses. This can represent a key competitive advantage as manufacturers who can cut quickly while maintaining high quality standards will be more successful.
The response was the appointment of a new management team, including CEO and CMO, and rebrand to Wisr, with an expanded focus based on financial wellness and doing more for customers.
As to what awaits them, a tour of the site revealed the breadth, depth and frivolity of the collection, which has been inventoried, classified and organized. Dozens of brass and leather luggage racks are neatly lined up in one area. A large, round royal blue carpet with the Ritz emblem and the words “Ritz Health Club” is spread out on the concrete floor.
Perhaps consider checking out https://mynoise.net/ for noise generation stuff. Traditional white noise gets fatiguing pretty quickly for me. Mynoise is just a bunch of multitrack nature recordings that loop together and can be volume changed over time. Much more tolerable imo, since the RMS volume is less due to periods of calm in the recordings. Hope this helps

One of the benefits of using standard (borosilicate) glass *is* that it absorbs IR light. The absorption at a given wavelength is equivalent to the black body emission at that wavelength (Kirchhoff’s law) – as the glass gets hot, it emits tons of IR. The longer wavelengths of IR are more effective in warming the surrounding area than the vis/nir/mwir that would escape with ALON or other IR transparent substrates.
non-visible-light “cameras” are always super cool, and this project does not disappoint! I am looking forward to its evolution!

“Media or anecdotal reports of cancer clusters around mobile phone base stations have heightened public concern. It should be noted that geographically, cancers are unevenly distributed among any population. Given the widespread presence of base stations in the environment, it is expected that possible cancer clusters will occur near base stations merely by chance. Moreover, the reported cancers in these clusters are often a collection of different types of cancer with no common characteristics and hence unlikely to have a common cause.”
